The E-Child Care (ECC) system is the current electronic method of payment to your child care provider, provided by the state of new jersey. we are currently paying on enrollment versus attendance, which means once an agreement is in the ECC System your provider will get paid regardless of your attendance, its important to let us know if there is change in provider or if you child stops attending as soon as possible.
To ensure you are fulfilling your responsibility as a parent in this process, you must:
***PLEASE REMEMBER that all child care subsidies are based on work and training eligibility requirements. If you have a change in status please report this information to your Case Manager for further instructions, many changes in status are protected under family friendly policies. Typically, care us approved for 12 month time frames and would only be stopped if you income exceeded 85% of the State Median Income or if we find that information that was submitted to us to determine eligibility was not accurate or falsified. Additionally, any overpayment to your child care provider may result in a repayment agreement. In a repayment agreement you would be responsible for paying back any subsidy funds that were paid on your behalf to our agency.***
