Community Outreach Coordinator
Seeking an enthusiastic professional to join a dynamic nonprofit, committed to supporting Monmouth County’s children, families, and the child care workforce. The Community Outreach Coordinator should be highly organized, curious, empathetic, compassionate and be able to get along with a diverse culture. This engaging social service position drives family stability by facilitating community referrals through connecting families with essential resources and managing the diaper distribution program. Ensure parents successfully navigate their selected child care choices, by partnering with families to build upon their knowledge of child care and evaluating the program that best meets their family’s needs while respecting parental choice. Using their outstanding customer service skills and attention to details The Community Outreach Coordinator will ensure families receive personalized support and basic necessities.
In addition, all staff must represent Child Care Resources in a positive manner by being responsive, informative and courteous and raise awareness about child care issues by promoting the agency throughout the community. Familiarity with child care regulations, and bilingual, English/Spanish is a plus. College degree in related field preferred but not required and a minimum of two years’ experience in a child care setting or human service agency is preferred. This position requires a strong commitment to working in partnership with families, to strengthen their knowledge as consumers of child care.

We are an agile, innovative nonprofit agency committed to supporting Monmouth County’s children, families, and the child care workforce. In this full-time role, you will greet visitors, answer and direct calls, handle basic office/clerical tasks, and be the agency’s bright first point of contact with our community. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Science, Early Education, or related field is preferred. Applicant must have strong communication skills, both on the phone and in person. Candidates must also be able to work with interruptions and prioritize numerous and varied requests, while maintaining a pleasant disposition. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred.
