Child Care Health Educator
Enthusiastic professional to join a dynamic non-profit committed to supporting Monmouth County’s children, families, and the child care workforce. Individual must have vast knowledge in child development, and skilled at engaging adult learners to facilitate the development of child care as a resource to build healthy communities. Position requires a strong commitment to working in partnership with community child care providers to strengthen their knowledge and practice through classroom training and on-site teacher technical assistance to support healthy growth and development for all children. Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Education, Child Development, Social Sciences or related field. A Registered Nurse (RN) with current New Jersey license is preferred. Knowledge about pediatric health care and development including communicable diseases, immunizations, injury prevention, child abuse and neglect, nutrition and inclusion of children with special needs is also preferred. Familiarity with child care operations and regulations, and knowledge of local human service agencies and organizations is a plus. Applicant must be able to travel independently to sites, meetings, conferences and training sessions in Monmouth County and throughout New Jersey. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus.
